- How it Works:
- The Bostech DE610171 Reman Fuel Injector is a high-pressure piezo injector that operates at over 30,000 PSI, this allows for better atomization and precise fuel metering control.
- Piezo or Piezoelectric fuel injectors rely on piezoelectric crystals. These crystals change shape when an electric current passes through them. The change in shape moves a valve that controls fuel flow. This process happens incredibly fast, ensuring precise fuel delivery.
- Installation Note:
- Fuel Injector Correction Reset:
- The engine control module (ECM) has the ability to learn injector timing performance. With the engine at operating temperature and in closed throttle decel mode, the ECM will pulse each injector individually and measure the changes in rotational speed of the crankshaft using the input from the crankshaft position sensor (CPS).
- The ECM will run this diagnostic under three different fuel rail pressures for each injector. The ECM will adjust the timing of fuel delivered by each injector to obtain the desired RPM increase.
- The ECM stores the injector timing value required to increase the crankshaft speed by the desired RPM.
- If the ECM cannot control an increase in RPM for a given injector the appropriate code will set for that injector.
- NOTE: The Fuel Injector Correction Reset must be performed anytime a fuel injector is replaced.

Core Return:
- To receive core credit, you will need to return:
- Fuel Injector in the amount purchased
- All cores should be in the original boxes
- All cores must be matching units - identical part for part, no substitutions.
- All cores must be intact - no missing parts, disassembled, or damaged units accepted.
- AN RMA number is needed for all core returns, obtained through Bostech Customer Service.
- Please package all cores securely and tape outer box to avoid lost or damaged cores.

A core charge has been applied to this product. There are 2 options you can take:
Option 1: We can hold your order until the core (old unit) has been shipped to our facility, or
Option 2: We apply a core charge to the invoice and ship the product immediately.
If the core charge has been applied to your invoice, we will credit the core amount once we have received a valid undamaged core back from you. The core credit process generally takes 2 days once it arrives at our facility. Credit card processing time may delay 1-2 days. An RMA (return merchandise authorization) number is required for returns and can be obtained by contacting our Customer Service Team.
