It all starts with the high-pressure oil pump, which delivers the oil to various areas in the engine. Replace your HPOP as oil pressure starts to decrease. The engine uses the oil to lubricate the turbocharger and to facilitate the fuel injection process. The diesel fuel injectors must maintain a certain level of oil pressure to inject the fuel directly into the combustion chamber. If the oil pressure is off, the fuel may not burn properly, leading to a loss of power and poor fuel efficiency. Replace your fuel injectors and ICP sensors to maintain proper fuel pressure.
Be sure to replace your oil filters to keep the fluid free of particulate matter that can clog various components. Monitor the temperature of the oil to keep it flowing and replace the gauge when the readings are faulty. Use these parts to maintain your oil system to prevent damage.
